I loved, I ... -- a Poem

Fräulein to Frau

Mox nicht and with a shrug
of the shoulders
she left
It looked so easy but we all knew
She would be crying all night

So did it really matter?
Indeed it did, she loved that bum
with a passion
not known since Cleopatra
pulled her big stunt

A happy ending here,
she did recover
and lived
happily ever after

She was
just one of the many
better
better for loving
and losing

Mox nicht
with the world
nor us, her
friends

The cads do us gals a favor when they leave, though it takes us a little while to realize it.

well done ~ I really like the opening stanza - it just reads so well, offers the "pretense" of being hard, yet tells us of the soft - and sets up the truth of loving - wrong, badly, etc. ... and well, happily ever after? it can be a vague determination anyhow.

Well done and well considered Jim.
Losing the love of someone we love is a hurtful thing, but I guess it is part of life experience and softly propels us on the path to find 'the right one.'
Did for me.

It seems "endings" are never really happy occasions, but later we are grateful!
