Puzzle Limerick
Another Orphan
There stood a pretty orphan tree
A growing child that could not be
Flower on its top
Growing would not stop
How could this be, child at his knee

- This week, we were asked to to go formal: Write a limerick, a ballad or a sonnet – or to write on the subject of formality.
- I chose the limerick with a five line syllable count of 8,8,5,5,8. Limericks are usually written about persons, often something bad or funny. Since this one is about a plant using the identity of a child I call it a "Bad Limerick".

Unusual subject matter for a limerick – but I love it!
What a delightful rhyming memory! Jae
