Another Time that Won't Slide By

    A Day to Remember

        Day I don't forget

It was my wedding day

Started the joyful day

She was at the church dressed

Relax, she was trying

Her groom hadn't arrived

At the groom's house ready

Sent his son, load for car

But son came running back

"Dad, can't get in the car!"

"Oh let me do that then

Oops these keys are not right

They're on the other ring

The ring for the small car"

"Grandpa took it ahead"

We called Grandpa to come

Meanwhile bride was nervous

Some guests already there

Worse yet Grandpa got lost

In half hour he came

Grabbed keys, headed for church

Son then came with Granpa

Making sure lost no more

Surprise when I made church

My bride was crying hard

Guests out for a burger

Grandpa came  all were back

Bride was trying to smile

The rest went well, wedded

Haven't made my wife cry

In our fifty-one years

Never will I forget

. . .
