Art pieces to appreciate

This weeks optional prompt Rommy posted last week for us is to write as inspired by a piece of art that we have chosen.

I have a soso pretty picture for my writing and from your experiences and my writing I hope you can envision it for me and you.   Check it out.

           Young Artist's Pleasure

As I do my daily walk I see sidewalk art the preschooler children have drawn and colored.  Not obnoxious graffiti mind you.

Perhaps to most pedestrians it is but to the young artist it is drawing a piece with happy  meaning.

Happy show and tell.  People and friends, ones they know. We may not recognize who it is. Look for a name, description, or title.

Playmates and parents and family  they like to draw.  Or it might be a pet of theirs, could also be yours or mine.

A present for rewarding these young artists? A box of sidewalk crayons would be lovely.

Hi Jim, I love your attitude, and thanks so much for sharing this. I am so glad to have found you again! We used to follow each other's blogs when I was at Linda's Peaceful Place, years ago. I had no computer for more than 7 years and because of the amount of time that had passed, I lost access to my old blog.
I started a new blog at the end of March at Linda's Relaxing Lair (link is in my profile). I have missed you, your posts on your blog, and your kind comments on my blog.
I wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you, that I have started blogging again and where you can find me.
Take good care of yourself!

'Twasn't Rommy, it was me! I'm glad you found the prompt inspiring, and I love what it inspired you to. The writing is so joyous, and so are the children's drawings. Worth celebrating, for sure.

Colleen, I liked reading and seeing your birthday party. You did it up well.
I cannot leave comments though, I cannot sign into the format that you and some others use. I am writing and commenting with my cellphone only, it does fine with the bogger and those who allow ananonymous comments.
But I'm happy you came here, please leave comments. Thank you.

I love children's chalk drawings on sidewalks too, and often find traces of games they've played too: Hopscotch, Os and Xs, Hangman. It's somehow so reassuring, and calming, and peaceful, and innocent...

Crayons for the young artists is a lovely gesture!
They can colour the world! Time for more creativity :)

Children learn what they are taught & encouraged to do.
Wish all children are taught to be creative this way and not to be trained with guns and killing...
