Oceans and Cities -- A Poem for the Sunday Muse
Angels are Busy Tonight
    When oceans rise cities flood
    Streets become paths of water
    New Venice a thousand times
    Unexpected near midnight
    Climate Change Global Warming
    Cities will flood people drown
    Unpredicted Solar Flare
That straw broke the camel's back
    Communications were down
    Traffic was stopped world around
Came Flash flood Oceans did rise
    People unaware of its coming
    Angels helped in the cities
My angel stopped for a pose
    People began to believe
    Oceans rose and people drowned

It's not that far off either. Nice to read you, Jim.
Hey, it's been a great run. Don't be a stranger.
Yikes. Yikes. I just have this image of exhausted angels like bus conductors gathering souls into trains away from another drowned world.
The cities definitely need angels Jim. Thank you for being at the Muse each week my friend! Keep writing and stay in touch!
Going to miss you at The Muse .... certain we will continue to read each other often! Cheers.
Thank goodness for angels! Nice one.
Great poem Jim, I expect even angels have their limits ❤️
