Sidewalk Leveler
"Sidewalk leveler, sidewalk leveler . . ." Those words
Repeated over and over again
Over and over, those words come some more
"Sidewalk leveler, sidewalk leveler . . ." They come
    Annoying
I am so glad, I am so very glad
Glad that tune has not become my ear worm
Like Mark Twain's train conductor's little song
"Punch brother punch, punch in the presence of
the passenger"
    Annoying
"Ear worm," a tune repeated, repeated
"Punch brother, punch in the presence of
the passenger." Like TV's blaring song
"Sidewalk leveler, sidewalk leveler, . ." remains
    Still today
Twain's was long long ago, before our time
Way before the term, "Ear Worm" was around
    Can pass it on

Note:  The "Leverer" song was a clever but monotonous way this person's company attracts attention to its TV advertisement.  Uneven sidewalks around here are the responsibility of the property owner to even up to prevent tripping by pedestrians.  Mostly one section will rise or sink out of proportion to the adjacent piece.

Oh, is anything more annoying than an earworm?
Annoying, yes, although some love the songs that never end and get stuck in their heads. :)
LOL.. I can think of several annoying earworms... and I tend to sing them out loud all day... very annoying indeed!
i have NO idea what song you refer to... I know "It's a Small World After All" drove me crazy at Disney World's Epcot... :)
Some ear worms are best avoided!
Commercial jingles can be fun or extremely irritating, there's no in-between. My head has been filled with an old 80's jingle about Nestle chocolate lately.
Annoying when you are dying for tranquil space.
I am imagining the annoying songs you have endured all these many years, probably a few we share.
