Sunday Muse -- A New Life
To Paris
She'd paid dearly for this seat
Was a "people mover man"
who came to her small village
He'd move one or ten--pay him
She'd start a new life, who knows
Who knows what life brings to her
Cheese and wine, a new romance
Failed her first, this good for her
Terrible rut she was in
Sold by her man to some scum
Virtual slave, she was cooked
Two nights ago she escaped
Took his money paid her fare
Now with France's shore in sight
Train ticket in her hand bag
Paris two hours ahead

A story in verse. Amazing!
Interesting--new lives, one after the other. Hope she finds a good one.
Ah Paris the city of romance. Hope she find the good life here.
Happy Sunday
Much💜love
A new life in Paris! I too hope she finds happiness at last!
Let's hope better days are coming!
Ah … Gay Paree, where the action happens!! Cheers.
She's been through the mill, perhaps it is time for her place in the sun. I enjoyed this poem, Jim.
Love the story line, Jim!
A toast to a new life! We all need them at some point in our lives.
