What we save may save us
Will it be a scared kid
a tree on the esplanade
or a giraffe in Africa
Saved from street gangs in his hood
saved to fight greenhouse gas or
saved to propagate it's kind
Saved our peace of mind that's sure
Saved from street gangs, Climate Change,
change of place in Nature's chain

This is a duh little ditty for sure. But I'm out of pocket and won't be answering most comments until Monday coming.

Thanks for writing to it, Jim. Maybe some of these young ones coming up, who haven't sold their souls, will turn things around. We can hope. I hope we save the giraffes too. They are so lovely.
Like your piece here Jim. I wrote about the streets this week for IGWRT, but I may have gooten too dark, too real...
Dark? We live on what the late Madeleine L'Engle called a shadowed world. Only individual "salvation" or transformation has had much success "beating back the darkness."
If what you mean, Jim, is that this is a hasty first draft, I'd be interested in reading the revisions.
