Notes:
- I took a little poetic liberty and changed the last line, title word Deported to a word better fitting with my 'poem', Departed.
- The first line was from the title of the book selection for Book Club reading on our cruise last week. It was "Everything I Never Told You" by Celeste NG. She told a fictional story of a teenager who drowned, either by suicide or by an accident. I chose by accident. (The cruise was a seven day Caribbean one on the Emerald Princess, departing from the Port of Houston.)
- My title and lines are all from the spines (titles) of books I found in the ship's library.

Spine poetry -- that is so much fun. I need to do that once I get the right bookshelf. :-)
A grand idea, spine poetry. Can well stimulate a good reading habit! Nicely Dr Jim!

This is wonderful...make me want to try "spine" poetry again!
This is a neat little epitaph. I wonder who it is for?
nice one Jim
have a good Tuesday
much love...
Clever and wonderful....great work Jim!
I did this once in a used bookstore - ended up spending over an hour doing this! One can get lost in the fun of this type of poem. (I also created quite a mess for the employees… :)
Clever write. The poem itself (if I didn't know that it was book titles) could cause quite a bit of discussion. Nice job.
Such a clever poem taken from spines... :)
The clarity of this unlikely piece amazed me. Good to be here, Jim!
