NaPoWriMo 2020 Day 21 - Poem, Family Tree
Family trees were lost
Casualties of the wars
Wish for older daughter
She'd marry rich and strong
Richest of Roman gods
The 12 Roman gods were
Jupiter and Juno
Neptune and Minerva
Mars and Venus
Apollo and Diana
Vulcan and Vesta and
Mercury and Ceres.*
Some had too many wives
Females were no no's then
Jupiter son of Zeus
Best pick for this father
Lived happily after
Started new family tree

Jim, you know a lot of the ancient gods. This was an interesting read, as I am not well versed in those times.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a family tree. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely brilliant!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, love the wit of your last line.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting take on the prompt, Jim, from which I have learnt something new about the Roman gods’ family trees.
