Today, April 17, is International Haiku Day
I love them. Wow, baby rabbits all year round.........love the baby birds, too.
ReplyDeleteHurrah for baby animals everywhere!
ReplyDeleteActually, I rather like those years when winter never really comes! :)
ReplyDeleteI love them all! And actually the 4th is a kyoka. (Hope you don't mind me telling you.) The 5-line form is a tanka, but when it deals with human behaviour it is called a kyoka. The senryu is a haiku that deals with human behaviour.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rosemsry!! I'll fix it soon. I knew Senryū but not kyoko.
Delete..
We had a curiously warm winter too. It does make me nervous about what the summer will bring.
ReplyDeleteEagles on 8 track, now that is an image. I saw an eagle soaring yesterday and now this is humming in my head, do you have any Steve Miller on 8 track?
ReplyDeleteI wanna fly like an eagle
To the sea
I don't actually have an 8 track player but, I found the reference interesting. Thank you for your kind comment.
DeleteBeautiful! I especially love; "Daily walk with green/Baby rabbits run year 'round/Climate change is here."
ReplyDeleteHi there! Your tanka is my favorite ... I love writing them.
ReplyDeleteI think I joined Mother Earth on that last one, Jim! I'm feeling a bit confused!!
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteThe Earth may appear to be out of whack but shh, I think it is us really!
Love all of them...We humans have sent Mother Earth into a tailspin
ReplyDeleteNicely done, Jim!
ReplyDeleteI used to have that old 8 track player and probably still have tapes stored away in some box of forgotten memories somewhere. These invoked a few memories, that's for sure
