Monday comes when it is supposed to come,
it comes always right after Sunday's done.
Tuesday holds its breath, what will Monday be?
Monday hasn't failed, ever. Monday comes.
Monday may come before we are ready.
Too soon sometimes like unexpected day.
Then Monday comes, often at a bad time,
which always means that Sunday has to end.
Monday never comes while we are waiting
for something really nice, that's how it seems.
for something really nice, that's how it seems.
Then when Monday comes, short will be our day.
I hope to see you soon, when Monday comes?

ReplyDeleteThis is the heart of poem, I think.

ReplyDeletemuch love...
Hi Jim, I enjoyed the rhyme throughout. The weekends seem so short so I don't enjoy Monday's much. Nicely written as always!
ReplyDelete"Monday comes" - Like that person who is always hanging around, at times seemingly overbearing, unwelcome because they're not as fun as some of the other people in your life, and yet those who always turn up for every occasion whether or not you really wanted them to.
ReplyDeleteBut when there's unstability and chaos in your life, they are solid, dependable, unchanging figures that somehow soothe and calm you for simply being the way they always are.
I thoroughly enjoyed this, Jim!
Monday always comes, as do every other day, reliable and focused, and thanks to Monday with the link up I have found this
ReplyDeleteMonday comes is great. I can see Tuesday waiting to see how it's going to all play out. You gave me a good laugh. This sounds like a song.
ReplyDeletedon't worry. if you're busy, monday's too short. :-)

ReplyDeleteDoes Monday get a bad rap? I don't know, she does seem to loom like a a dark cloud approaching sometimes. I loved your write!

ReplyDeleteI like the predictable. Surprises are fine on occasion, within a framework ;-) , but i like predictable. And your poem!
