Stress ~~ Sensational Haiku Wednesday
Little Pony
old Mustang is dear
going on thirteen candles
one-fifty no more
her spirit still high
faster than that she would go
one-fifty's too fast
we stop at one-ten
metal fatigue--kill us both
stress her no I'll not

The 1998 Mustang GT convertible has 88,000 miles of which 39,000 Jim put on since he got it used in 2001. It was Jim's retirement present from himself.
Yes, it still will go over 150 mph but he doesn't take it over 120 now because of the silent killer, metal fatigue is likely to be present. (We used to magniflux our stock car racing cars after race for metal fatigue.)
Fascinating. I never would have considered metal fatigue.
ReplyDeleteExcellent my friend. I would have never thought about a car. Very well done. I have searched my blog and can't find a 22.png I am wondering if it is that Wibiya tool bar I just installed and looking at the time of your comment it was after I installed that but the blog is suppose to load first and then that so that should be affecting this. If you continue to have that problem let me know. I'll start watching it and see if i can figure out what that 22.png is. :) Have a great Wednesday :)
ReplyDeleteSo fun! Where is Cut and Shoot?!
ReplyDeleteGreat choice for "stress".
ReplyDeleteJim you obviously love that car, very nice work on your haiku!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent! And glad that you're smart - we want you around for a long time ;)
ReplyDelete...Great Haiku! This Mustang must have served you well... 13 years and still in such good-looking shape...
ReplyDeleteYou should upload the Haiku you left in 'my comments' and place it here too. I loved it! ...I think it ought to be shared... :)
Good choice! I adore a mustang!!
