Sunday Muse - a Broken Glass
Had enough
Her glass was empty
It would hold no more
Crushed beyond repair
She'd been done so wrong
She will recover
First she'll walk away
And find sincere love
Who will do her right
Her heart's a cupboard
Full of glasses fresh

“Her heart's a cupboard“ ... I love that.
Painful for sure, and that last line is a great one Jim. Poignant and lovely. Hope you have a great weekend!
Our hearts are capable of holding more than we can imagine ~~ your poem reinforces it.
Well, we all know what happened to Mother Hubbard's cupboard! Hmmm.
Ha, I like that she walked away, and love your closing lines.
Tomorrow is another day and a fresh glass! Nicely written Jim.
Like the image of a cupboard of fresh glasses!
Wow. Good for her.
Happy Sunday
Much💛love
