A "Doesn't Matter" 'down poem' for Sunday
.
My Epitaph
Don't
Know who
Hasn't thought
Of killing self
When things get rough even the tough need help
Then things got tough help and I called my bluff
Didn't matter
Had enough
My end
Came

This verse didn't make the cut, I needed an end:
Then neither friend nor prayer might be enough
Professional
Help does much
Make that

It has got to happen sometime hasn't it. Life wasn't meant to be perfect just an exercise in keeping going.
I feel one should never resort to even considering such a thing. No matter how hard life gets.. there is always hope.. a light at the end of the tunnel.
Morbid fun can happen?! ♥
This is quite the epitaph, Jim. And a most topical theme, this one of self-harm.
I think this seems too often the only escape... but there is often a better way out.
No matter the insistent thought....there must be a better path.I'm glad I saw the last part. Love the form.
I especially like the third stanza, down below. That is the necessary call. Sadly, many do not make it. Well said, Jim.
Life is a roller coaster for sure.
Great Tetractys Poem Dr Jim! An epitaph with humor will help eliminate sadness

I love this poem, Jim. It is brave, honest, and a bit tongue-in-cheek.
Yikes. A very human poem. This called bluff doesn’t always work out. Thanks! K.
