NaPoWriMo 2017, Day 30, a Poem, Particle-wave dualism?
College physics
College physics was old fashioned,
Waves were not particles back then
Electricity was DC
or AC. And magnetism
Finding the charge on a plate, huh?
But it is possible that math
likes to treat waves that way
Even one electron from the
radio wave coming at you
Don't let them tell you otherwise
They will go through a pane of glass
But never a copper bucket
Magnetism particles not
Industry today demands, more
than ever, a man with a good
mathematical foundation

1) Photos are "Print Screen" captures of pages from Popular Electronics, January, 1957 ( http://www.americanradiohistory.com/Archive-Poptronics/50s/57/Pop-1957-01.pdf ). Makes it 60 years ago.
2) ** Please note the top pictures. Left, Popular Electronics had a lady on most every cover. And right, is the ad from Canadian Institute of Science and Technology Limited in Washington, D.C.
3) I have been an Amateur Radio Operator, i.e. a Ham Radio person, since 1960 In 1961 I was issued the call sign, K1TLT, but had to give it up when I moved to Texas. Later I was able to retrieve my old call sign, K1TLT. My license is Amateur Radio Extra Class, the highest skill level issued by the FCC.

With your ending it appears even science chases vanity to be seen.
When we had physics it was so much more accepted, with the advancement of semiconductors we had to be taught quantum mechanics... but Einstein didn't like it either.
Ha! This is quite the retrospective, Jim.
You are so right science has gone ahead way way ahead
Thanks for dropping by to read mine
Much love...
Ah yes.. the way science has progressed over the years is astounding.
I sucked at physics back in the 1980's when I was in high school.
I sucked at it when I was in nursing training in the 2000's.
I'll warrant that I still suck at it.
Some things are consistent.
