NaPoWriMo 2016, Day # 29 ~~ Instapoetry
Seems pretty to most--pool came with the house
I walk around hardly ever see him
He and his bunny buds eat my pansies
Birds come too, flocking in, drink the water
Bathe in the falls and eat worms in the grass
Birds and bunnies, they hide when I come near
Then comes the family, grands and greats and kids
A warm Sunday afternoon, cool them off
Like birds and bunnies they too like to eat
Hot dogs and hamburgers cokes and ice tea
More food they bring we share this pretty place

Today I'm linked with Bjorn at the Imaginary Garden with Real Toads. Bjorn wanted no more than 100 words, 'telling out from inside.' My word count is exactly 100. Read more at his link:

This is also a poem for National Poetry Month. I quit daily writing early this year due to a busy life's pressures.

p.s. Two rabbits came after I had written this. KP is staying with us, no school today, and when she saw them she went outside. The rabbits ran off but the one in the picture decided to hid back behind the bushes. I used a zoomed lens to take this one, then cropped a bit more.

Oh yes.. they might be a nuisance but they are all part of an extended family (bunnies and birds)
This is absolutely delightful :D
The view out your breakfast room window is so inviting -- as is your poem -- warm and sweet with an everyday sense to it, a soft nod to home and family life. Thanks for sharing.
This made me smile, Jim!
I love the way you have shared your moment, spirit of place, the bunnies and birds are my company too, how wonder that you have your family ties to share so much beauty with you :-)
I'm sorry but I missed Bjorn's request for a short poem, when you guys above came it had 150 plus title. I wrote it in the middle of the night if that could be an excuse.
Now it has exactly 100 words and no title. More concise, still okay. I guess. Thanks for coming, I wanted to fess up in case you wondered when you read.
You have a lovely house and sounds like a lovely life. Thanks for sharing your poem. I liked it.
What a beautiful glimpse of your lovely setting, Jim. It is nice the grandkids come and get to enjoy it - and that the birds and bunnies enjoy it too.
Love those sweet bunnies. Thanks for sharing this slice of nature heaven. :)
lovely, sweet. k.
Pretty indeed! I'm glad you got the bunnies in a picture too.
luv all the fun activities in this view; thanks for sharing Jim

It looks like a very pretty place, indeed, and what a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon with the family :-)
What a beautiful place and an oasis to share fun with the family.
"Like birds and bunnies they too like to eat" ha Love that. Family makes it a home. Very sweet.
