Today I'm linked with Kerry O'Connor in the Imaginary Garden with Real Toads (link) where her theme is "Get Listed! ~ The Compound Word Edition' meaning we are to use three (3) compound words from a huge list. I chose four (4) from including one extra for the title from "List 10" of 15 lists. My choice is Salesclerk, Sharecropper, Showoff, and Sheepskin. This is a busy day so I wrote a three-line Senryū with a lagniappe title, many Senryū aren't titled.
The photo is from the 2012 Paris ( France) Marathon. Our daughter, Karen ran it and Mrs. Jim and I had come to cheer her on. The people wearing a mask were making a statement about Global Pollution. I do not know who the lady in blue is, she was not with the demonstrating group.
Excellent write :)
ReplyDeleteLove this, "sharecropper degree" indeed :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting sight to see. Like this,Jim
ReplyDeleteSounds great too!
ReplyDeleteShe does look very jaunty in that pack of staid individuals.
ReplyDeleteShe does seem the odd one out.. but it might be a great degree to have
ReplyDeleteI had to look up 'sharecropping' (sometimes we only think we speak the same language) but I thought this was very neat anyway.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! What an amazing feat to run a marathon
ReplyDeleteI think sore footed is probably a spot on decription for a sales clerk.
ReplyDeleteLol yes,you expressed it right :)
ReplyDeleteYour words have added life to the picture
