yesterday on our walk
my Adi and I came
to this fork in the road
didn't take either path
went straight up the middle
through those trees — ending up here

Painting is easy when you don’t know how, but very difficult when you do. Edgar Dégas
The same may go for poetry? (whatever, I enjoy painting with the words!)
sunny dog adi
ReplyDeletelaughing panting tongue cooling:
dusty grey branches
This was so sweet! I loved the pic of Adi at the fork in the road.
ReplyDeleteBTW, It's My Poetic Path, Jim.
Heads, but don't go backward, unless you know how to swim.
ReplyDeleteAdi is a cute little thing ... I use to have a mutt that looked somewhat like this, but when he got killed by pit bulls, it hurt so bad I couldn't bear to have another.
Excellent choice, Jim. A friend with good instincts is an asset at times like these!
ReplyDeleteI am loving our OSI community more and more as I see many takes on forging new paths rather than following set choices!
ReplyDeleteThese were fun :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoyable.
Jim,
ReplyDeleteI smiled as I saw your decision which way to go.
Well done.
Some of the best adventures are off the beaten path. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day Jim. Big hug. :)
But if the tail should wag, which direction should be pursued?
ReplyDeleteI love the visual pun -- Adi's head, or Adi's tail. And I like Adi's choice -- right up the middle. Nothing like a dog to get down to the gist of things!
ReplyDeletevery innovative idea... go through! it reminds me of a quote.. "the only way around is through!"
ReplyDeleteI guess a dog would go for the trees-they have their own priorities.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics and poem.
Well, that turned out just right!
ReplyDeleteI say let Adi choose. Well done, Jim.
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the adventurer, Jim! But I'll bet it was all Adi's idea!
ReplyDeleteHello Adi, from Gandalf and Grayson!
i *love* it!!! forget the fork...make your own way!
ReplyDeleteTa da..the middle one appears safe. Nice photos with your dog-
ReplyDeleteLove your dog! You are right, that is exactly where I would have gone. So green there, we had snow and rain all day.
ReplyDeleteLove it Jim~ great pictures too! It's always good times when the dogs get to choose
ReplyDeleteGreat choice Jim! Maybe I should look at life that way. Make my own path. It worked out just fine for you!
ReplyDeleteDr Jim,
ReplyDeleteYou put your stance across in very exquisite ways. Sharing great moments with Adi, a faithful companion is exhilarating and all within the peaceful fairways of what appears to be part of a golf course. It cannot be better than that. Pick a path within good surroundings and not under pressure. It will result in rational thinking. Great take!
Hank
Luv your picture, story and Tuesday Platform simpatico
ReplyDeletehave a Good Tuesday
much love...
Such an enjoyable read, Jim!
ReplyDelete...dogs always chose tails :)
ReplyDeleteAdi is a wonder. I love this.
ReplyDeleteHa, sometimes we shouldn't chose at all.. make ourself independent of conventions and from roads
ReplyDeleteThis is simply wonderful! Sometimes we should just try and go with the flow :)
