    Delinquent Fun

Time flies when you're having fun

Not fun when fun is the help's

Cleaning lady smashes clocks

She smashed my Sun pottery

Made by an astronaut's wife

And an exotic glass egg

Egg from France Mrs. first trip

Souvenirs, can't be replaced

  1. Love your clocks. Sounds like you are ready for a more hands on cleaning lady! Too bad about the smashes. Especially when they can't be replaced.

  3. I saw a wall of glass fall in Borano when a glass seller accidentally got hooked on a piece. I think her fate was similar, although it might have meant feast of famine for her family. Vivid memory.

  4. That's quite a collection of clocks you have there, Jim. When you've invested emotion into an object and someone smashes it, it hurts. Glad she got the boot.

  5. So sad... but maybe it was an accident really

  6. That is sad, Jim... but your remaining clocks are beautiful!

  7. I would be SO annoyed, Jim... That's such a bummer!

  9. You've got quite a collection of clocks so you will always keep track of time. A shame of these souvenirs. Was it a glasblown egg or one of these crystal ones?

  10. Oh no! I'm surprised you can write of it with such equanimity.

  11. PS I'm particularly taken by your French carriage clocks.

  12. The irreplaceable when broken cause tremendous strife, yet these precious things are not an irreplaceable life.

  13. Oh no! I think this is a true story ??? You need a helping (young person) hand, my Friend.

  14. I can't imagine having someone else break something of mine! I break enough of my own stuff, lol.

  15. I've cried when mementos like that got broken. I'm glad it was mostly fiction.

  16. Those are beautiful clocks! I'm sure the cleaning help was very upset as well!

  17. I like the way the 'family' of clocks all showed different times - just the way human families have their own individual idiosyncrasies too. :-)

  18. Hahaha... I'm sorry but I couldn't help laugh. Please forgive me I know how it feels when our treasured souvenirs are tampered with
