My Life, a Movie -- NaPoWriM 2022 Day Fourteen
"Boy Meets Girl"
[CAMERAS ROLE]
(Curtains go up)
(Several occupied tables, a used setting on some, all seated have finished a meal)
(Enter Jim, a full time
engineer
and part time student )
Roommate (Mike) voice:
We were hoping you would come
we made you a plate
Jim voice:
Oh Gee, thanks.
The prof let us go after he took roll
Thank you much
Roomate's girlfriend (Pamela) voice:
This is Arnell, I just met her tonight
I told her you might come
Jim voice:
(facing Arnell)
I'm glad to meet you
Clam Fettuccine is my favorite Italian
(Music plays)
Arnell, would you like to dance this one
(All four go onto the dance floor)
(Curtain lowers)
[CUT!!]
This script is not finished
Filming has continued
After forty-nine years
One marriage--Jim/Arnell
The end is not in sight
NOTE: The story is true. The girl's names were changed. Six months later Mike became Best Man at our wedding.
