'Lover's Walk' ends and
'Abbey Road' begins"

Cherish
Cherish the bright butterflies
What you've learned here you'll forget
Roses red and violets blue
Secrets of mine won't tell you
Cherish follies went again
Eighth grade teach remembered us
Poetry we didn't learn
Idiots us we forgot
Cherish her in's, teacher still
Down from her pole poems mouthed
Like stricken swans we learned then
Appreciated her verse
Cherish this day we saw teach
Secrets of mine I'll tell you

Lines one and two ~~~ and I was off on a journey, back to grammar school, high school, college .. I have forgotten much, clinging to what I remember.
