She sits on my desk all day and night
She's inspiration for me to write
Paid ten dollars for her, she's all mine
Small Mexican boy with such a find
Buried 'neath backyard silt quite some time
That was his story I didn't mind
Lady of rust you're patient and kind
In you I trust theme meter and rhyme

ReplyDeleteYeah, my father was given a couple figurines someone he knew bought in Mexico. Said to be very old. Probably not, but still fun to have around.
