Acrostic Poem Today

Previously posted on April 10, 2020,

G A R B A G E    D A Y

Garbage Day is today
Already marked on calendar
Ready or you will be missed
But today I might be late
Alligator was getting killed in the pail
Great huge snake had him by the tail
Each predator fight for himself

Dead on arrival will be their tag
Await the garbage truck's return
Yay those varmints are gone

  1. Well, that's a garbage pail the collectors won't ever forget.

  3. Good one Happy I wouldn't come across snakes and crocodiles here. No dangerous wildlife in NZ The main reason I wouldn't like to move to Australia.

  4. I can't imagine finding a snake let alone an alligator in the dustbin, Jim! Our bin men would run a mile.

  7. Well this was quite a graphic poem which opened up the scene very well. Just hope the garbos didn't notice or else you my be black listed (or would be here in Australia).

  10. Love it, and you’ve captured the spirit of the picture so well. I remember a snake coming through the air conditioner in an office in Australia and our good maintenance man luring him out, chopping him up and shovelling him into the garbage bin. I, being from foreign parts, was astonishef‼️
