A Ditty Poem for Wednesday
What goes up must come down
The skeletons in your closet
They are to be worried about
Those things will come out in the wash
What to do what to do--there's hope
Why were they in the wash machine
Who was watching this bloody act
Did you heed Tide cleans things better
There's hope those dry bones get whiter

OH, those first two lines ~ chilling.
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteHA -- at first I read your title as "dirty poem" and it seemed to fit as it was about laundry!
ReplyDeleteI’m very glad that I am not the only one who thought that. Lol!
DeleteJim, the skeleton stanza holds a mixture of hope and threat for me, depending who the speaker is and the sort of skeletons in the closet.
ReplyDeleteNeatly done and lots of fun!
ReplyDelete... quite mysterious!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely brilliant!💝 I especially like; "The skeletons in your closet/They are to be worried about
ReplyDelete/Those things will come out in the wash." So true.
I bet those skeletons make a racket in the washing machine!
ReplyDeleteOh, not sure all skeletons can be bleached clean of their secrets, but we can hope. :)
ReplyDeleteI have this image of bones tumbling around in a washing machine. Clatter, clatter, clatter!
