. . MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL
Christmas;
time to celebrate Jesus' birthday
brown is a five letter word
Some of my very best friends,
white, red, black, brown, or yellow
Read their palms, Jesus loves all
born to die to save the world
Today Christians burnt for Him
consonants and vowels we
Like windows, visible and
unmarked and vulnerable
sins forgiven by our God
paint these words, out of the pant-
ry, "Jesus died for my sin!"

Words are wonderful. We can play with them, they can be music to our ears and use them to express our feelings and by our silence speak louder than words. Great post Jim.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Angie. That song popped into my mind when I wrote this, first off. But I had to use 'brown' because it was a Whirligig word. Merry Christmas, I'll visit your writing in a couple of minutes.
