In the Shed -- Flash Fiction 55

In the Shed
.
It's in the shed, she said
You go look for yourself
.
Memories were coming
Coming back, haunting me
Nothing good ever came
Never from in the shed
.
My cat died in the shed
Father's strap, spanking there
Once smoked terrible stuff,
in that shed, oh so sick,

Stirring there, I don't go
.

Today I'm linked with Hedgewitch at the Real Toads, Flash Fiction 55

Rules are to "write a poem, prose poem, or piece of flash fiction which uses exactly 55 words to tell its story."  Mine is 55 words with title.  It's fiction but could be true for some.

  1. For me it was the basement. Very creepy little tale, Jim. Thanks for participating in the 55.

  2. Some places are best avoided, especially if they contain negative vibes.

  3. OK, my playhouse was in the shed .. I never smoked in the shed .. I never had a spanking in the shed (or otherwise.) I did, however, sneak a swig of beer in the shed!
