When and Then

I sat and wondered
How by plan can I grow up
When I'm sixty-four

Grandkids all love me
I loved them too with envy
I loved sixty-four

Best of times it was
Had no pain, no worries then
Young at sixty-four

Can't remember now
Think I may never grow up
'Cause I'm eighty-four

NOTE:  I am not 84 years old yet.  I did beat 64 though,.  My poet obviously writes about one who is 84.   I love the Beatle song about that 64, "When I'm sixty-four" lyrics

Each verse must be under 140 characters and spaces for her.  I am at 62, 65, 67, and 64.  Probably add two more characters on each for the line returns.

  1. And I am 54... lots to learn from those who have wizened for three additional decades.

  6. I'm the same age I always was on the inside - just the body that likes to disagree.
