One Single Impression: Soul

.
Soul

Said myself to My Soul,
"Soul, whereforth goes thou?"
My Soul replied, "don't act so holy,
I know you very well."
"O well," I said learily,
then wishing to myself this time,
"why did I ask?"

That wasn't the end of this exchange
and soon My Soul was talking again.
"Whither thou goest I will go.
There is no other path."

  1. Yes, we often talk with our inner self, call it soul or whatever....

  2. Ah, that inner voice. So important - as long as it doesn't talk back too much.

  3. Inner conversations are the best isn't it? The truth is we will never know our journey after this life.

    Nice one ~

  5. You outdid yourself with this one, Jim. The voice inside connects who we are with what we are. Soul.

  7. Your soul (and mine, I'm afraid), knows just exactly the kind of guy you are--and excuses are not allowed!

  9. Your soul is always there. You can't escape. You can't fool the Soul. If you listen you can go to great places together.
