Wind
Blowing wind gently brush my hair
I love feeling your warm air rush
Misty morning I feel your kiss
Wet slobbers of love on my face
Gentle breeze noontime in the shade
Hugs with my drinks afternoon puffs
Evening cool your slaps leave me cold
I long no more for your embrace
Loath your ilk fresh and warm no more
Fickle wind it's over, goodbye

What a journey with the wind.. Wow!!! Thanks Jim..
ReplyDeleteYou made the wind your human companion. Love the visual words.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't decide myself, whether it was a 'one night stand' or a 'whirlwind affair.' Perhaps I should have stretched it out.
ReplyDeleteAlso 'the wind' could be an allegory for ...
..
Jim, I was looking forward to a romantic ending. It turned out to be an anticlimax!
ReplyDeleteYou sure have ways to surprise your readers.
Hmmm..whirlwind affair...is it suggestive of the word?
ReplyDeleteAs I was reading your take, I was thinking you also have written in the way I have written mine!
But it is very nice, allegory of what!
enjoying the wind...so nice!!
ReplyDeleteA journey with the wind, I agree with Ramesh, nice work Jim!
ReplyDeleteJim my friend what a wonderful Haiku. You paint a lovely picture. So calm and real. Love it!

This was wonderful! I loved your visual imagery...you are very lucky to live near such a beautiful pond.
ReplyDeleteAn affair with the wind...nice one!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
I love the transition - a delightful read!
ReplyDeleteSo it goes with that fickle wind! You just never know from one moment to the next. I sure did like that.
ReplyDeleteThe path taken and the ending are quite surprising.

I love the humor again in your poetry Jim. So refreshing. When you said slobbery kisses, I was thinking of a dog. Loving the wind cannot last long I suppose. Nicely written!
ReplyDeleteAs usual- your wit came through loud and clear- love the "wet slobbers"....such imagery and implied symbolism! Have a great week~
