Beach in Hawaii
The last thing I'll remember
Our ride to the beaches edge
Sand flying from beaches edge
Our blanket thrown on the sand
Things quickly escalated
Sands now became forgotten
Those sands quickly forgotten
Blanket too not remembered
Song, touching me, touching you
"Sweet Caroline"* remembered
Proved they were right all the time
* Neil Diamond song,

A wonderful event to remember, Jim - the edge of the beach........a song playing......I love Neil Diamond's music!!!! Sweet Caroline takes me all the way back............lovely.
To remember the touch is good enough, and it's nice that it happened by the sea. Happy new year, Jim! Keep on writing.
Nice word picture.
A beautiful last memory/thought, Jim! Happy New year!
You might not remember details but the essence of that beach moment breaks through in those sandy lines. :)
A very special moment in your life to be treasured and to sustain you. Happy New Year !....Rall
Memories of joy are so good to retain! (And I only have to read the words 'Sweet Caroline' to hear clearly in my head Neil Diamond singing them.)
a lovely reminiscence - Jae
A beach and a song to carry you through. I hope, I remember that one glorious sunset I saw in Oahu.
The image you shared with poem gave me quite a start! The year was 1968, January. I met my Husband in Honolulu for a week long R & R. He arrived from DaNang in Vietnam via Hong Kong. That week was bittersweet, our youngest child was three months old, our daughter .. three brothers ages 5, 6, and 7. HOWEVER the best part was our rental car ~ A bright pink Mustang convertible. What a joy to drive the entire island of Oahu. Your post brought it roaring back. Cheers.
Happy new year ..have a great year ahead!
Great beach song :)
Have a great 2026.
Hope we get to publish all our drafts too :) I have many like you
Beach memories are the best!
