Four Generations -- a Dimensional poem
[My 'Three Generations,' my 'Four G's' are males]
Four generations
We've four dimensions
Won't graph very well
but stair steps so good
Dressed so differently
Hoop skirts and short shorts
Mini skirts knee holes
Foursome, years apart
- - - -
Draw a round circle
Rounder is better
When Enso* is true
Better is person
We fill this circle
With fourth dimension
East/west north/south up/
down Ana/Kata
That fourth dimension
Ana/Kata's hard
Hard to explain so
you can read it here

- I'm linked to Toni Spencer in the Imaginary Garden at http://withrealtoads.blogspot.com/2018/09/step-into-void.html?m=1
- Toni explained filling the circle with the first, second, and third dimension but said we needn't go to the fourth. It is beyond me tonight, if you'd like click on the last word above. Click on the link just above here to read Toni's explanation and directions.
- *Enso: (per Toni) means “circle”; it symbolizes the Void, or also elegance, the Absolute.
- Now in life, fill the circle. I drew mine free hand, not bad, not real good. I joined them and filled with a toy person out of perspective.
Love how you tied the generations to dimensions... somehow we cannot connect, but the circle is what we need to bond across them
ReplyDeleteI love this take on four dimensions, although properly this would be two dimensions this would be two, the six tatami representing home.
ReplyDeleteThere are three living generations in my family Jim and we all intertwine - my sons are also my best friends and my grandsons my pride and joy.
ReplyDeleteOur circle is filled with love although we do all think differently...
