When you're out on the town;
dine,
drink, play, and be safe
You're eating crawfish, savor the last four, end unless
you suck their heads.
If you're out boozing, have designated driver,
or you go to jail.
When you're bowling, make sure your shoes are tied, trip
and you'll go down the lane.
And if you go pee, make sure to wash your hands twice,
before and after.

- Fireblossom discussed 'endings' as this is near the end of April, the National Poetry Month. This will be he next to last 'poem' I write, one more tomorrow, then the end. Her instructions are "... let's write about almost-endings. Endings that haven't happened yet, but are surely close at hand." - No specific form was prescribed, we could pick and choose. I chose the "American Sentence Haiku/Senryū" form." It has seventeen sentences in each sentence, even one sentence could stand alone and be a poem in itself. - Today was Sylvia Plath (1932-1963) Day at the NaPoWriM0 site linked above. We were asked to choose one of ten of Plath's poems and write our thoughts after words. I chose her poem, "Event" (link). I felt the last five lines were approaching the poet's end, and are repeated below:
"A small white soul is waving, a small white maggot.
My limbs, also, have left me.
Who has dismembered us?
The dark is melting. We touch like cripples."
.
My limbs, also, have left me.
Who has dismembered us?
The dark is melting. We touch like cripples."
Well, some sage advice, especially the washing of the hands. Smiles.
