NaPoWriMo 2018-16 -- Day 16, a Poem, the Board Game

Board Games for Us

Child is ill today
Mimi and Papa came
Let's play some table games today
That's what she wanted to do
Trudge upstairs game closet
It's Chutes and Ladders or
Sorry games choice

Down we come with both
Back to bed Sorry first
Pick the pieces get the dice
Open the board place the cards
Cards slide off back on they go
Roll the dice falls to floor
Play another day
Won't play in bed

Had we played it would have been
by the rules the box or hers
She's oh so competitive
For her it's win or bad game

It runs in the family
Winning

  1. You have to pick your board game spots carefully, otherwise you loose too many pieces and can't play them again.
