Spring flowers are blooming
Trees are budding, some bloom
Pear trees are dressed in white
Cherry prefers her pink
Redbuds have no fruit, they're
pretty sight with the rest
Singing their cheery songs
Pushing winter to sea
(Redbud tree in neighbor's backyard)

Cherry prefers her pink
Redbuds have no fruit, they're
pretty sight with the rest
Dried brown grass is greening
Oh yes, birds are singing Singing their cheery songs
Spring is here in the south
Working warming ways north Pushing winter to sea
(Redbud tree in neighbor's backyard)

ReplyDeleteI like how 'everyone's' dressed up for the welcoming of spring. A cheery poem....and much needed after this long cold spell.
