Buy low
Fortune said to me
buy low and sell high
That's where the money
is, days of towers
She'll roll you till death
or He'll set you free
Free from debt till death
Marriages over
At death do you part
with your worldly goods
Then paper's not worth
its ink. Promises
never fulfilled,
schluss**

But, death takes many forms, Jim, not all of them, happen, in the physical form. In this lifetime, I have been born (as a male and a female) and died (as a male) once. Besides, you really want to take that rusting out hunk of metal that you call a car, from the 1990s, with you, when the final death arrives?
ReplyDeleteMaybe fortune is so much more than wealth... at the end you will not be aware at your funeral service.
ReplyDeleteI should have married rich.
ReplyDeleteInteresting meditation Jim.
ReplyDeleteGood thing I have not amassed a fortune, then!
ReplyDeleteI expect you're right.
ReplyDeleteI liked the lines about being free from debt till death when the "cookie's crumbled".
ReplyDeleteI believe you're right!
