a somewhat silly ditty ~~ "Small giants and large dwarfs"

Namba Parks in Osaka
Bored Panda

Small giants and large
dwarfs share the landscape

Architects delight,
weaving climbers and
tiny windows share
the scene fighting for

the top, upside down,
downside up, silly
twins bewilder you
and me, cousins sad

to think of what may
become way of life
for normal people
too, way too sick to

argue, quarrel.
Doesn't matter

Photo inspiration, Namba Parks in Osaka by Bored Panda , from Kerry's Flash 55 PLUS! Challenge.

Kerry, at the Imaginary Garden with Real Toads (at http://withrealtoads.blogspot.com/2016/10/flash-55-plus.html ) introduced us to the Bored Panda website.  There she "came across the post, 15+ of the most Amazing Examples of Japanese Architecture. ... (she) was transfixed by the ergonomic and/or economic use of space" (just right for my giants and large dwarfs).

Oh yes, exactly 55 words, per Kerry's request.
Note:  I may not be politically correct.  But then, ... (Doesn't matter -- I liked the picture)

  1. Note: We went out of town Saturday for Mrs. Jim's family reunion in Louisiana. That put me way behind on my return of your nice comments. I will catch up gradually, but I had to write this thing. Words just flew in my face, daring to be posted.

  2. We do need that mix to share a landscape don't we? sometimes boldness humbles in the face of trees...

  6. Architects weaving - Indeed... I'm reading all about Frederick Law Olmsted right now and his partner Vaux in the creating of Central Park ... and so much more. The "founding fathers" of landscape architecture...

  7. It would be nice to weave in the green and get rid of some of the concrete.

  8. I think your closing lines are quite telling.

  9. It seems beautiful... until it's the only choice. I hadn't thought of that, Jim. So true.

  10. Perhaps what you say is not so silly really.

  12. There comes a time when they just want to have a finality. Otherwise it is all the while creating some sort of pressure and one wants to get rid of it.
