The Painter and the Model ~~ a Words Count poem
May I paint you with the ring in your nose
Could I lead you around in my garden
Might I feel your pain when they pull your chain
My chain is light and my pull will be gentle
We can stop in the garden house, repose
For you a daisy bouquet I will bring
I so want to feel your pain

Very interesting grouping. Your poem brings to mind all kinds of possibilities.
This says a lot about a certain kind of enslavement.. Very thought-provoking, Jim.
Alas we do think it's all about ownership and control.. maybe that's the ailment we need to treat in the world.
This is really cool, Jim!
Thought provoking indeed. I'm still thinking!

One often can cry knowing there are some people who continue to suffer but cannot get out of it.

It is bad to be that way, Hank. I had that feeling sometimes growing up. Then it would have been nice if I could have flown out a window and never return.
..
What a thought provoking poem! Being pulled around by one's nose is not ideal.
I think the writer definitely wants to feel something on the person at the end of his chain (or her rope!) Ha. Sweet poem, Jim. Thanks. k.
For me, there's an underlying tension to this piece...well written, Jim.
