The Chicken Dinner
T&T Pierrot Grenade** I'm not
His technique I must try to emulate
This said we will cook the chicken tonight
Head under your foot, his legs in your hand
Pull the wagon, kids under das foot
Kids have eyes only for Dad they won't cry
Chicken in two pieces there on the ground
He hops around hopscotch blood squirting high
Call the foxes, they'll eat the chicken raw
Hot dogs for Dad, the kids, and me tonight

. - Gillena wants us to fashion a poem using the humorous spelling technique of Pierrot Grenade. Pierrot doesn't spell the words like we do, rather he uses syllables related to parts of the word from which readers might guess what word he is attempting to spell.
. - Read more at Gillena's post, linked above and about him here.
. - **This is a the Sunday Mini-Challenge where we are encouraged to write using ten lines or less. I used ten but I didn't meet **Gillena's Challenge of using the Pierrot Grenade technique in some places. My fifth and sixth lines started out that way. So my characters had hot dogs for their supper.
. - Gillena also said, " Additionally, your poem, including the title, if there is one, should not exceed 100 words. Lets do this! Have lots of fun!" I'm sitting at 80 words including the title.
. - I took my chicken picture while visiting the town of Luckenbach, Texas. Read of my visit here.
