I am now reading your poem with duck taped spectacles that were crushed in a pocket of my robe this morning. As you can see, (no pun intended), your poem reads ever so true!

Why do we keep all these invalid spectacles? 'in case of emergency' I probably couldn't see out of the lenses anymore!
