My Avatar
Ugly and so scrawny
smirks at me from afar,
my avatar hates me;
I hate my avatar.
What did he do to me
that gets me so upset?
The others are pretty
yet here's my ugly pet.
And now I'm asking you
what is your opinion;
for you would he do?
I'd rather an onion.
Beauty running skin deep
but no curves here to love,
angles and bony knees.
My own is far above.

ReplyDeleteThis was fun, Jim, but it also had a little under the skin (so-to-speak). I liked the "ugly pet" line.

ReplyDeletekinship runs so deep.... a onion you say...
ReplyDeleteI like your avatar and your unfailing wit. An onion would do as well. Peel away the layers and you get to the sweetest part.
