Acrostic: Growing Old

GROWING OLD

Groaning grappling facing
Reality that's what
Old people do
When daily facing
Insidious incessant pain
Neck shoulders legs
Groin belly feet

Old before your
Life is ready
Do or die

  1. Oh Lordy, how right you are, as the cold have made me cry with knee pains. I remember smelling liniment when I was young, the old folks called it horse liniment, now I wish I had some.

  2. Me too, Amias. And hip and shoulder pains just for laying on my side for a half hour.

  3. Cheer up Jim,
Do some walking and drink plenty of water, you will not be able to recognize yourself!

  4. Dad talks about these things. He is preparing me for the future.

  6. Since when does everything I write have to be true or even be about me?
That goes for the ones I write in first person or not. Just happens this one isn't.
One exception, if it's a meme poem it's generally true. :-)

  7. Hi Jim;

As i could see, this is the only acro prompt you have done!

I know it was an effort for you sharing us how it feels to be old...:)

Everyone will come to that! And Oh, I dread the day!

And yeah, Jim, I think it is better if your acro is aligned left, as Amias once suggested me that!
