We have endured,

Now ten million plus are enduring, some not in as good shape as us. Five million plus are were in the Houston/Galveston area. Check here for our status (we do have electricity today and will return home over the weekend).

    Jim,
    Great photos ! I am glad you will be able to return home ! I know how it feels, I was gone 3 weeks after Katrina. This year Gustav did a little damage to the house(photos on blog) we where gone for 4 days. We got power back right away since we are on the same line as the fire dept. So my house was the place for everyone for a week after.

    This was some experience, eh, Jim? I heard from another friend down there who has been without power for several days. Not the worst of storms, but plenty powerful and damaging.

    I'm glad you have electricity again, Jim. Ike was so terrible it made the news over and over here in Canada. Let's hope no more hurricanes like that make landfall!

    Glad you made through, Jim and Mrs. Jim. I really mourn all damaged trees, so I am very sorry about your broken horse apple tree. (I confess that I have never heard of a horse apple tree!)

    I am glad you're okay. Some times, mother nature can give us a heavy blow, but once its over, it's beautiful.

    I knew we'd be seeing lots of shots from last weeks storms... I'm glad you are fine and feel so sorry for those that did and still are suffering the efects of this.

    I been watch the news and of course they covered "Ike" but I've never seen a Hurricane or a Tornado but seen plenty of snow in North Idaho.

    Mine is up and the coffee is on.
