Sunday Muse -- and I Cried

Dolly Cried

Why is that big tear

Did I stick you with a pin

Did I take you from your drink

Did I take your toy away

Please don't cry

Is it something I have said

Or something I haven't said

Maybe something I have done

Bigger than these

Something I have not done

Did I forget your birthday

Or our anniversary

When ladies cry

Sorry if I made you cry

I hate that, shouldn't happen

(Tough being in the dog house)

  2. So well said, Jim. I imagine your sweet wife has learned what a softie you are!

  3. I was touched by your sense of helplessness in the face of a female's tears, Jim. Your gentle response says a lot about you.

  5. "Bigger than these
    Something I have not done
    Did I forget your birthday
    Or our anniversary "

Most serious tears to attend to.

    Happy Sunday

  8. Oh, tears get to us all. We want to wipe them away, get rid of the reason for them. Sadly we too often don't carry the magic to erase pain.

  9. Jim, I apologize to my wife every morning for anything I may have done in my sleep to offend, and for anything I am sure I will do today! 😉

  10. Tears are definitely a spur to pause and pay closer attention.

  11. Oh, yes, those "didn't do" are what get a man! They have no idea what it is they forgot. Sometimes tears just come though, not because of something done or not done. It feels good to let them out.
