Body guards and chauffeurs
Became her way of life
Decided that way back
Back when she got The Cat
An Arabian prince
Owned One Sixty acres
Oil wells, refineries
The Cat, he and she merged
When The Cat married her
She was Wife Number Three
(Not the dread Number Four)
Family Mainstay became
Revered by all the clan
And treated royally

And now!? I want a poem about the dreaded number four! Happy Weekend.
ReplyDeleteI second what Helen said! Have a great Saturday Jim!
ReplyDeleteI guess we're all left to wonder about "dreaded number four" !
ReplyDeleteI hope she enjoyed the limo and heightened lifestyle before Number Four appeared on the scene. An entertaining read, Jim.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing today, Jim.
ReplyDelete"The Cat, he and she merged" - provocative line. "The Cat" a nice enigma, or was that a reference to something?
ReplyDeleteBig story told effectively in a poem Jim.
ReplyDeleteLove the tinge of humour Dr Jim! If one is allowed 4 then it follows the adage, 'what can go wrong will go wrong'
ReplyDeleteHank
What's wrong with the fourth wife? And what's up with the cat? Intriguing poem.
ReplyDeleteI too am intrigued by number four ...
ReplyDeleteI wonder why she made the decision... was it love alone?
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I too, mused on marriage this Sunday...
ReplyDeleteI like the terminology you use in this. The Cat is a cool name for Mr. Big.
ReplyDeleteI like her attitude! She decided that's the life she wanted, and she went out and got it. Sure, she could have worked to make it herself, but it was probably work keeping him and not becoming his third ex. I don't think I'd care for the need for a body guard.
ReplyDeleteWhy stop short of Number Four? Interesting interpretation of the prompt.
ReplyDeleteWife number four, maximum by Arabian law even for princes, often times is divorced annually or so in favor of a new young wife.
