NaPoWriMo 2021 Day 30 -- Our Short Ride to . . .

    Lover's Lane

We're going out to Lover's Lane

Do what we are supposed to do

Smooch a little and chat a lot

Enjoy a couple of kisses

Like days of old please lead me there

Post Office Road past the office

Out of town come close and snuggle

Cow pasture right, down Old Dirt Road

Road's end by the creek, turn around

The Moon and stars will be our guards

Play our favorite CD real soft

Kiss, close our eyes, we merge as one

You've lead me well please lead some more

More paths galore to explore

  2. Well this took me back to my teenage years. I remember each one and 70 years later and a widower I am still corresponding with one of them back in UK!

  3. Nice one Jim. I would have been disappointed, if the moon and stars were absent

    Happy Sunday

  5. We had a similar lovers' lane in my wild youth. It was a secluded and little-used dirt road. I often wonder if it's still there! Thanks for jogging my memory, Jim!
