P & W ― Day 21 of NaPoWriMo 2015

Pictures or Words

We can't have it both ways,
it's one or the other
We'll have pictures or words

But dear, pictures and words,
they can work together
I'll do the pictures. You

write the words that will match
Alright, some days yes, and
some days you match my words

Start today, here's the verse
Inspiration nigh, my
need was there, I picked both

You win today, my dear
For you, please choose our food

Notes"
1.  Kerry suggested using the argument, "pictures or words?" as our writing prompt for today.  She has a nice little YouTube with some teachers/profs having this argument.  Pictures in the argument were paintings and the artist was the proponent of painting over writing in delivering a message.
2.  My pictures are showing some of our British pub environment when we went out to eat while visiting friends in Northampton, U.K. Below is one more.  Wine lists were at the tables.

  5. Yes, I believe where poetry lives we can have both. Together should mean unity, but sadly it often means to simply occupy the same space.

  7. Picture or words both are revealing in their own ways. One or the other will be able to tell more of the situation. Great lines Dr Jim!
