The Fast Ride
The Fast Ride
There was a young lass, drove her car
She liked to go fast, speed no bar
I'm stuck in a rut
Car won't get it up
To the metal, she's a race star

ReplyDeleteClever poem, Jim... and such an adorable model for illustration! I love to remember a time when life was so simple that we found pleasure in going things such as this! Now we spin on the merry-go-round of life and often wish we could hurl ourselves free! :-) Thank you for a smile-winning addition to Two Shoes Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI too remember so many ago going on various merry-go-rounds (as they were called in the UK) I used to shut my eyes and that allowed me to enter another world completely. Mind you it was mainly horses that we rode as cars had only recently been invented! Great post Jim.
