St. Patrick's Day -- In Retrospect - A poem

Scenario, Our House;
St. Patrick's Day Morning

Papa, small voice had said

I'm coming over soon
Saturday, quite common
You be dressed, I'll be there

Daughter then, Mimi texted

Kara's coming over?
She wants to pinch Papa
Oh, for sure he'll wear blue

Hurry, change your clothes, now
Granddaughter's coming here
She wants to pinch you

You can't wear that green shirt

Little girls are supposed

Supposed to pinch Papas
'Cause they're not wearing green

Doff green, switch to blue shirt

Ring, ring, ring -- at the door
I'll run and hide from her
She can find me to pinch
Find me that she soon did

Stand still Papa (hug, hug)
(Then a pinch, and one more)
Papas are made to pinch

Pinch them, St. Patrick's Day

Didn't I pinch you good
But you can't pinch me back
Because I'm wearing green
Nah nah nananah (smile)

Beginning, happy day

St. Patrick's day morning

At our house

Notes:

 - I was very late with this for the Weekend Challenge so I'm putting it also with the Tuesday Platform.  If you've been here before, please say it's Okay.
 - The top photo was taken St. Patrick's Day morning at our house.  Those on the right, of me kissing the Blarney Stone, the Blarney Castle, and of the grounds and surrounding Irish countryside, were taken in Ireland in 2007 (link).  We have visited Ireland and the Blarney Stone on two different times, I kissed it on both.  The first trip I fell and broke my kneecap, so we had to come home instead of continue on to the rest of our U.K. visit.
