New Dawn: Acrostic

N E W . D A W N

New dawn comes once
Every day seven times
Weekly—my love arises

Daisies at our breakfast
A misty sunrise stroll
Work up an appetite
New dawn for love

One Single Impression: Running

Going, going, gone

I am running away, I'll go to stay.
I am going to play, don't hold me back.
You can come along or I'll go alone.
I've done it before, I'm running away.

I am running away to find new friends.
I am going to where it's warm all year.
You can find me there and stay I don't care.
I've done it before, I'll do it again.

I am running away, I won't come back.
I am going where a new life I'll find.
You can join in then but I'm going now.
I'm doing it again, going to stay.

let sleeping dogs lie

One Single Impression: Insomnia (an acrostic)

I N S O M N I A

I can not sleep
Not after five
Seven's ideal
Or even eight
My life's a mess
Nothing will help
I nod at noon
Always awake

A smile and a wink
is not seductive intent
how I love to flirt

One Single Impression: Gold

With This Ring

I love you, he whispered softly.
Oh you silly thing you, said she.

Of course I do, I wear your ring
and sing your song, a song of life.
Of life and love, babies, children,
my children you're the mother of.

Yes, I remember well that day,
committing you my love to stay.
My token, flowered band of gold.
You gave me your all, heart and soul.

Acrostic: Rainbows

R A I N B O W S
.
Rained a lot today
Almost two inches fell
I don't worry anymore
No flooding the world
Bow is God's promise
Once and for all
We can trust Him
Saved from The Fall

One Single Impression: Single

Single Again

It came in the mail
that missive from hell
To me loud and clear
I don't want you near

Please understand this
our marriage ain't bliss
There's no love from me
and never will be

I saw my lawyer
he said you'll feed her
Six fifty for me
half wages for she
Now I pay monthly
her alimony
Half wages for she
six fifty for me

A new life for me
pockets are empty
New throb's smitten me
Sugar Momma she be

Acrostic: Comets

C O M E T S

Courageous woman's basketball team
O those Houston Comets
Many girls we've adored
Every good thing ends
Too soon for fans
Swoopes, Perrot, Cooper, goodbye
